The finish

What makes a metallic floor look the way it does?

Metallic pigment is carried in a clear resin base, and it keeps moving while the coat is wet. The swirls, depth and highlights form on your floor, under your light, which is why a metallic floor cannot be repeated exactly and why the sample in your hand is a guide to the color rather than a copy of the pattern.

How it works

How is a metallic epoxy floor installed?

In four stages, and for most garages all four happen in one day. We diamond-grind the slab, fill and grind flush every crack and spall, lay the base, then work the metallic pigment through the wet coat and lock it under a clear topcoat.

  1. Grind

We diamond-grind the slab to open it up. No acid etch, no shortcuts: it’s the reason our coatings don’t peel in two years.

  2. Repair

Cracks, pits and spalls get filled and ground flush before anything goes on. We flag every one at the quote visit, so nothing surprises you.

  3. Coat

The base coat goes down by squeegee and back-roller, in the color you picked from real samples in your own garage light.

  4. Broadcast & seal

Flake or metallic pigment goes into the wet coat, then a clear topcoat locks it in. Walkable the next day, driveable in three, and covered by a written 5-year warranty.

Metallic epoxy FAQ

What is a metallic epoxy floor?

An epoxy coating with metallic pigment suspended in clear resin, laid over a diamond-ground slab. The pigment moves while the coat is wet, which is what makes the marbled, dimensional look, and why no two metallic floors come out the same. Ours is built as primer, metallic base, clear topcoat.
